Biology Resources & Research Help: Get full-text articles

This guide provides links to resources and services for Biology faculty, staff, and students.

Getting Full-text Articles

To get the full text of articles from the UCSD Library, you can search the UCSD Library Catalog to check for a journal subscription or use UC-eLinks when you are in an article database. The paragraph and videos below detail and illustrate how to search the catalog and use UC-eLinks.

How do I get the article?

In most of our databases, you'll see this button next to each reference: UC-eLinks.

Clicking this button may open up the article automatically, or you will see options to get the article:

- Online, if available (Usually displays automatically, if not use the "Get it Online from" section to link to article)
- In print ("Find a Copy" section links to Roger)
- Via interlibrary loan ("Request it" section) if we don't have the article.
