An introduction to library services and resources for students and faculty in UCSD's Department of Theatre and Dance.

Theater, Dance & Performance Studies Research in the UCSD Libraries

Welcome to the UCSD Library guide for research on Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. This guide is intended as a starting place for researchers, pointing to tools for finding books, scholarly articles, reviews, primary documents, images, and other topical and collection-related information. Please use the blue tabs to find resources in different information categories. If you have any questions or suggestions for additions to the guide, please contact Rob Melton.

This guide was compiled primarily for the benefit of students in the joint UC Irvine-UCSD Ph.D. program in Drama and Theatre enrolled in TDGR 289: Doctoral Studies in Theatre. To the best of my ability, I have indicated for most resources, print or electronic, whether they are available at both campuses or only at UCSD or UCI. As the ownership and location of printed books, as well as the licensing status of electronic resources, are fluid, this information is subject to change.

UCI students are urged to contact Scott Stone, Performing Arts Librarian, for special assistance with drama and performance-related resources and instructional opportunities at UCI; you should also consult the UCI Libraries' own guide to Drama resources
