UC San Diego has been a member of the Pacific Manuscripts Bureau (PMB) since 1986. The Library holds extensive runs of microfilms from the PMB.

The PMB (Series) of microfilm includes unpublished materials relating to the Pacific Islands. The Library's holdings of PMB (Series) microfilms are cataloged in the catalog UC Library Searchand may be found by searching by author, subject, keyword, etc. All of the records may be retrieved by searching on the title "PMB (Series)".
The PMB also produces another set of microfilms, which are copies of newspapers, magazines and other published documents from the Pacific Islands. These are cataloged at UC San Diego under the title "P.M.B. document" and records may be retrievd from the catalog using this search, as well as by title, etc.
