    About This Guide

Resources to help find articles and background relevant to your Chem 87 assignment: research a UCSD faculty member for a letter of inquiry about joining their lab as an undergraduate researcher.  If you need more chemistry resources, start here.

    Wireless & Off-Campus Access

Most of the resources listed on this guide have been licensed by UC San Diego Libraries. Off-campus access, as well as on-campus wifi access, is restricted to UC San Diego students, faculty and staff. Follow the links below to enable access on campus using your laptop, or off-campus access using the proxy or VPN.

    • Proxy
Make a simple change to your web browser settings to enable off-campus access for most of our databases and all e-journals and e-books.
    • VPN (AnyConnect Client - select Conventional Download)

Download VPN software on your computer to get off-campus access for everything you'd get using the proxy. If you're having problems with proxy, VPN is a good alternative. When connecting, select the 'althruucsd' setting.
    • UCSD Encrypted Wireless
Use the UCSD-ENCRYPTED wi-fi network to access UCSD-licensed resources on your laptop or iPhone anywhere on campus. (UCSD students, faculty, staff only)
