An introduction to library services and resources for students and faculty in UCSD's Department of Theatre and Dance.

Theater, Dance & Performance Studies Research in the UCSD Libraries

Welcome to the UCSD Library guide for research on Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. This guide is intended as a starting place for researchers, pointing to tools for discovering books, scholarly articles, reviews, primary documents, images, sound recordings, and other topical and collection-related information. Please use the blue tabs to find resources in various information categories or formats. If you have any questions or suggestions for additions to the guide, please contact Rob Melton.

This guide was compiled primarily for the benefit of students in the joint UC Irvine-UCSD Ph.D. program in Drama and Theatre enrolled in TDGR 289: Doctoral Studies in Theatre. I have not been able to continually monitor the resources at Langston Library, so UCI researchers should consult its catalog (ANTPAC), list of databases, and research guides. As the ownership and location of printed books, as well as the licensing status and platform of electronic resources, are fluid, the information is subject to change for UCSD resourcers as well.

UCI students are urged to contact Scott Stone, Performing Arts Librarian, for special assistance with drama and performance-related resources and instructional opportunities at UCI; you should also consult the UCI Libraries' own guide to Drama resources
