PSYC 194A Honors Thesis: Interdisciplinary Research

PSYC 194A allows students to plan and carry out a research project under the guidance of psychology faculty. This guide will assist with that process by answering the most frequent questions received about research.

Research Guides for Interdisciplinary Research

We have a librarian for every subject area on campus, and each one has created an online research guide. They will have foundational information and links to things for that subject area.

Databases by Subject

If you are just looking for ideas of which databases to choose for a different disciplinary area, you can filter our DATABASES BY NAME by subject area. Again, each librarian for that area has curated these lists. They also frequently pull out a few that are Best Bets meaning they are the best ones to start with.

Subject Headings

Check out the Search Terms FAQ for information about subject headings. These are the controlled vocabulary for each database. They also vary by discipline. The same word might have different subject headings in other databases. Finding out what those terms are for each is helpful for efficiently finding resources.
