Simone Weil

Simone Weil (1909–1943) was a French philosopher, political activist, and mystic. Born in Paris, she excelled as a student and devoted herself to the working class and political activism. She served in the Spanish Civil War on the Republican side, and during World War II, with the resistance movement in England.
