Mendeley Citation Management: Learn at Your Own Pace

Click the "Download" button in upper right. You will need to set up an account to use the Web-based tools. Create your own account - this is not your UCSD single sign-on.

This is a browser extension you can install to help you capture citations from database search results, journal sites and more. (sometimes buggy in Chrome)

Mendeley includes some default "collections" to organize your library, such as My Publications, Favorites, Duplicates, etc., and you can create as many of your own collections as you like in order to keep things organized. Create a collection for each class, paper, or research project.

Share some or all of your library with your colleagues. Note: there are restrictions on sharing full text article attachments this way.

Note: switching from one citation management tool to another usually preserves the citation data itself, but you will lose any internal organization you have added, such as folders, tags, etc from the previous tool you were using.
