In Roger, use asterisk "*" symbol as a "wild card" for picking up a variety of word ending, e.g. biolog* (with the *) to search on multiple biology-related terms: biology, biological, biologically, etc.
Warning: use these terms (biolog* ocean* ecolog*), or any broad truncated term (i.e. using the "*" wildcard) WITH your specific subject terms, because used alone in a search they will retrieve very general and large results.
For example: marine biolog* handbook; reef biodivers*; fish biodivers*; marine microb*
Searching marine biology is the same as marine and biology, and will retrieve only records with both terms. Searching marine or ocean will retrieve results with at least one term, giving you a larger set of results.
If you don't have an author or title, start with the keyword search.
Searching marine ecology is the same as marine and ecology, and will retrieve only records with both terms.
Searching ecology or diversity will retrieve results with at least one term, giving you a very larger set of results.
Recommended search if using OR: (ecology or diversity) and marine
If you see >> Go to electronic version in the record, most of these will be links to the online book, an e-book.
