The UC San Diego Library is committed to minimizing the impact to our patrons if there is a period when access to new content is suspended. Here are some other ways to access the materials you need:
Check to see if the article is available now:
- UC-eLinks - Request items not available in the Library. Use this form to see if an alternative source or database has the article immediately online.
- Open Access Button or Unpaywall - These sites provide links to free, open access versions of articles if available.
- PubMed Central - Free archive of over 5 million biomedical and life science journal articles in full-text.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL), if the article you need is not available from above resources.
- Request Form - UC San Diego Library staff will obtain items submitted through the form. Requests are filled within 3 business days.
As a reminder, UC will continue to have access on ScienceDirect to all articles with a publish date before 2019 for which our prior subscription included perpetual rights.
