Elsevier Alternative Access: Journals Affected

What to know about the outcome of the UC's negotiations with Elsevier, and how to access the content you need.

Journals Affected

Elsevier has discontinued UC’s direct access to 2019 articles through its online platform, ScienceDirect. Additionally, we no longer have direct access to the backfiles of certain journals (see file attached below).  To see a list of journal titles and years that UC will retain access to, visit the Office of Scholarly Communications website.  Please note that the process for discontinuing access is complex, so access to specific journals or articles may fluctuate until Elsevier’s rollout of these changes is complete.

Everything else which we had access to prior to the shut off is still accessible on ScienceDirect.

If you are in doubt about why you can’t access a particular journal or article, please contact the Library.
