NTIS serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today.
NTRS provides access to approximately 500K aerospace related citations, 90K full-text online documents, and 111K images and videos. Some reports are not available full text online, but UCSD can get these for you through interlibrary loan.
Search/browse for standards from over 80 standards publishers, including ANSI, IEC and ISO. Full text not available online, use ILL to get a full text copy.
Online access to all standards, journals, manuals, and conference papers/special technical publications published by ASTM, the American Society for Testing and Materials.
Ranging from 1861 to those accepted last semester. Where available, it provides 24-page previews. Most UC dissertations from mid-1990s forward are available for full-text PDF download.
General web site for the USPTO. Contains information on patenting an idea, doing a patent search and locating the nearest patent depository library for hard copies.
