The Independent Study Project at the School of Medicine is a long standing tradition. Starting in the mid 1980's the ISP projects were collected and indexed at the Library. Each individual project and its author are indexed in the Library's catalog, Roger, making them searchable and browsable.
The Library and the SOM Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education decided that starting with the 2011 ISPs, all of the submissions were collected and digitized instead of printed and bound with plans to make as many of them as possible easily findable online through the UC's eScholarship portal.
