Please email me if you have additional research questions, or would like to schedule an appointment for a demonstration or explanation of resources in this area.
Off-Campus Access & Wireless
Most of the resources listed on this guide have been licensed by the UC San Diego Library. Off-campus access, as well as on-campus wifi access, is restricted to UC San Diego students, faculty and staff. Follow the links below to enable access on campus using your laptop, or off-campus access using the proxy or VPN.
- ProxyMake a simple change to your web browser settings to enable off-campus access for most of our databases and all e-journals and e-books.
- VPN (Cisco AnyConnect Client) Download VPN software on your computer to get off-campus access for everything you'd get using the proxy. If you're having problems with proxy, VPN is a good alternative. When connecting, select the 'althruucsd' setting.
Using the EasyConnect option (WebVPN) is not advised. - UCSD Encrypted WirelessUse the UCSD-ENCRYPTED wi-fi network to access UCSD-licensed resources on your laptop or iPhone anywhere on campus. (UCSD students, faculty, staff only)
