Off-Campus Access & Wireless

Most of the resources listed on this guide have been licensed by the UC San Diego Library. Off-campus access, as well as on-campus wifi access, is restricted to UC San Diego students, faculty and staff. Follow the links below to enable access on campus using your laptop, or off-campus access using VPN.

VPN (Use AnyConnect Client - Cisco)
For use OFF campus: download VPN software on your computer to get access to everything that the Library has licensed for you, such as eBooks, journal article databases, and the full text of articles. When connecting, select the '2-step-secured/althruucsd' setting.

Install client software on your computer (AnyConnect Client - select Conventional Download), then run and login with your username/password. MAKE SURE TO USE THE '2-STEP SECURED/ALLTHRUUCSD' SETTING.
UCSD PROTECTED Wireless
ON campus: for Wi-Fi, choose UCSD-PROTECTED or RESNET-PROTECTED network. Other networks you will see on campus such as UCSD-GUEST and Eduroam do not provide our licensed content.
