Finding Films and Videos in Roger

Use the Film and Video Scope in Roger to simplify discovery.  Select from the index menu:

Keyword - mix name(s) or title word(s) together (e.g. "Hitchcock and birds")

Hint: If you are successful in finding a title with a keyword search, use the item's heading links in the catalog record to find related items.

Title - omit initial articles.

Author -  last name first (directors, lead actors)

Form & Genre - If you want a list of feature films from a particular country, search those terms together (e.g. "feature films japan")

Other examples of Form & Genre searches: "documentary films"; "western films"; "zombie films"

Viewing Stations & Group Viewing Rooms

The Library (Geisel 1st Floor West) provides playback stations for audiovisual materials from its collections (including reserve items). Format support includes DVD, Blu-ray, and VHS. See the Geisel Front Desk to arrange onsite viewing.

Group Viewing Rooms are also available for groups up to 15 people. Request a reservation by calling the Front Desk at (858) 534-0134.

Screening of motion picture films must be arranged in advance by submitting the Motion Picture Viewing Request Form.
