DBMI Summer Interns: Advanced Literature Reviews: Library Orientation

Welcome to the Library

Library Orientation

Essential Actions

  1. Bookmark the Library website for easy access (https://library.ucsd.edu)
  2. Download the VPN to access licensed content off-campus. VPN also requires the Duo 2-Step login.

About Remote Access & WiFi

  • If you are working off campus, you need to be connected to the VPN. Sign in to the VPN first and then navigate to Library resources. Any resource with a blue lock icon requires a campus connection through ResNet, the UCSD-PROTECTED Wifi network, or the VPN.
  • If you are on campus, you need to be connected to the campus network via ResNet in the residence halls, campus apartments, or the UCSD-PROTECTED Wifi Network elsewhere on campus.
    • Do not use the UCSD Guest WiFi network; it will not connect you to our electronic resources.
  • When running the VPN, ensure that the Group setting is on 2-Step Secured - Althruucsd. This is the only option from the list that will actually connect you to our licensed online resources.
