Off-Campus Access

Get directions on how to use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access e-journals, databases and electronic reserve materials. These materials are restricted so that only current UC San Diego faculty, staff and students can view them from off-campus.

Getting Started

When you begin looking for reviews of books or performances, it's helpful to know as much as you can about the work of interest. In particular, the following information will make your job much easier:

  • Title: Know the exact title and spelling of the work you are researching.
  • Author/Performer: Know the full name and its correct spelling.
  • Date: Most reviews of books, plays, movies, music, television, etc., are published close to the time the work itself is first published/performed.
