A new user of the libraries? Things you should know...

  • Biomedical Library web page
Your gateway to high quality research information. Begin your research here to access databases and books and journals (electronic and in-print).
  • UCSD library catalog, Roger
Search the catalog to find out what books and journal titles the UCSD Libraries own. The catalog will provide information about which library owns the material and links e-books, e-journals and other online resources.
  • My Library Account
To renew your checked-out items, request items to be put on hold, recall items that are checked out by another user and transfer books from one library to another one that is closer to you. To get started, you will need to create your PIN.
  • Creating your PIN
You will need to create your PIN to use My Library Account services.
  • Using library resources from off-campus
Need to access library resources from off-campus? You just need to configure your computer for off-campus access. You will have the choice of using a proxy-server or VPN. I recommend the proxy-server for most people.
  • Connect with the UCSD Libraries
There are lots of ways to find out about free workshops, new resources and library events. This page will point you to library blogs, facebook pages, twitter feeds and more.
  • Ask-a-Librarian
I am always available to help you, but you can also use any of our Ask-a-Librarian services including 24/7 chat.
