Dr. Farshad Sonboldel is currently serving as the World History and Cultures Librarian at the University of California, San Diego. Sonboldel earned his Ph.D. in Modern Languages, with a specialization in Modern Persian Literature, from the University of St. Andrews in the United Kingdom. Prior to this, he completed a Master's degree in Persian Language and Literature at the University of Tehran, Iran.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Sonboldel is recognized as a poet, writer, literary critic, and researcher in both English and Persian.
In addition, Sonboldel serves as the editor for "MELA Notes," the Journal of the Middle East Librarians' Association.
