The UCSD Makerspace is an open-access, community-focused workshop for everyone at UCSD, regardless of department or experience level. We support making in every form, from research to artwork, personal projects to entrepreneurship.
All undergraduate engineering students as well as undergraduate and graduate visual arts students have access to EnVision. To use the resources in the lab, go to the Student Portal (link at top of page) and fill out the Responsibility Contract. You will receive a confirmation email once you have been granted access. Access to trainings for specific machines is also available through the Student Portal.
Skilled machinists work with campus researchers and external clients to design and fabricate specialized equipment that is not available on the market.
RealityScan is a free-to-download mobile app that enables you to create high-fidelity 3D models using just your phone or tablet. Available for Android and iOS.
