WongAvery Library Service Area Quick Reference Guide

Opening/Closing Procedures

Breezeway/ Graduate Lounge

  • Breezeway Doors are open to Library staff starting at 7:30am with Access Card. General access to Breezeway is during Library open hours
  • Graduate Study Lounge is open 24/7 except during Campus Closures. Students can see instructions for registration. 

Study Rooms/ Classrooms

  • Classroom 3, 4, and Events Room are located to the left hand side of Service Area
  • Classroom 4 is opened for Library users as additional study space during Week 10 and Finals week, except Summer sessions
  • Study rooms are reserved through Library's website ucsd.libcal.com/reserve
  • Classroom 106 and 107 can be combined into one large room (must book both rooms for same time frame)
  • Classroom 108 and 109 can be combined into one large room (must book both rooms for same time frame)
    • Crank for study room partition is located on the right side of the Tech Lending range

InfoStations

Computers in front of Service Hub are InfoStations, available for everyone to use. InfoStations are for basic internet use, browsing, and printing (no software installed). Downloading is not possible on these machines.

  • 2 standup stations, 1 ADA station
  • there is no log in required

Printing 

  • Black and White printer, Color printer located in front of Service Hub
  • Color printer located in Breezeway
  • Issues with the printers? Here's a helpful FAQ
  • Public users will need to create a Wepa account in order to print
  • If currently Enrolled Students do not have the option to charge their student billing
    • Ensure the student is enrolled in the current quarter and has no outstanding fees
    • If none of the above applies, report the issue to Richard Dunning (rdunning@ucsd.edu), and provide the following:
      • Students full name
      • PID
      • Date/time of incident and printer number

Book Scanner

  • Book scanners are located in front of Service Hub and study room 107

What to do when LSS is needed

  • Text or call LSS at (858) 282-3602
  • Call UCSD PD for Emergencies (4-HELP)

What to do when there are Facilities Issues

  • If there is a non urgent facilities issue please submit a report on Slack channel #facilities-servicedesk
  • For issues that require immediate and urgent assistance:
    • Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., call Library Facilities at ext. 40874
    • If you are unable to speak with Facilities staff, call Library Security at 858-282-3602
