Tip #3: Have Expectations and Assumptions about What You Expect to Find
- Understand the types of literature you might need (a clinical trial or study, a policy paper, a review article, a book) and where to find them
- Know your purpose: Is your research comprehensive - finding everything possible on your topic - or will a handful of relevant articles do?
Do this in PubMed: Use filters to specify the types of articles you want, clinical trials, reviews, cohort study, ect.
