We have an extensive collection of books (print and ebooks) that cover engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, and related disciplines.
UC Library Search, accessible from the search box on the library's homepage, helps you locate books, film, music, maps, and various other materials at the UC San Diego Library and beyond. It also contains a limited number of online journal and newspaper articles. You may search by keyword, title, and author, and filter your search to what is available online, or peer-reviewed articles. You can also place an interlibrary loan request through UC Library Search for materials at other UC campuses or libraries worldwide using your Single Sign-On credentials.
UC Library Search does not include all the content to which the Library subscribes. To extend your search for articles and research papers AND to fully use advanced features (Cited by, Institution search, controlled subject search) use databases like Web of Science or INSPEC or MathSciNet or ACM Guide to Computing Literature or SciFinder.
For delivery of an article or book or report from another university library - use Circuit (borrow books from San Diego area libraries with your SDPL card ) or Interlibrary loan.
Search for a subject or author or keyword in UC Library search - advanced search and choose Library Catalog.
Then limit your results to books published on or after 2020. Note that print books ordered in 2021 or series where we get all the books shipped are still being received with processing delays due to staffing shortages. Check the e-book publishers sites using strategy outlines in the e-books guide https://ucsd.libguides.com/ebooks/search Contact me if you cannot find a newer book.
These are the main e-book collections (not single titles) of interest to computer science & electrical engineering researchers. Unless otherwise specified, books in these collections are also in the UCSD Libraries catalog, though the most recently published ones are generally available online 1-3 months before appearing in our catalog.
