Welcome to Urban Studies & Planning research at the UC San Diego Library!  The tabs above will guide you to resources that are useful in general urban studies and planning research.

Important notes for online classes:

1) The library's Get Started with Research guide offers some great help, including a short video tutorial on how to search the library catalog, search strategies for finding relevant journal articles, and how to get the full text of a journal article.

2) The library has put together an Electronic Library Resources guide that points to avenues for finding online books, journals, films and other materials. Many of these are resources that we always have, some are temporary only for Spring 2020.

3) You must be connected to the campus VPN to access the library's online resources from off-campus. Please see the Connect from Off-Campus instructions for more information. Be sure to select 2-Step Secured - Allthruucsd from the group drop-down menu while authenticating.

4) The library's COVID-19 response page has additional information about library services during Spring 2020.

5) If you need additional help with library resources, feel free to contact me via email at and I'll respond as quickly as possible.
