Hosted by California URISA and the California Geographic Information Association (CGIA), the CalGIS conference rotates across California and focuses on GIS in California. It features education and training, solutions, and ample opportunities to build your professional network.

November 4 - 5, 2020 (virtual)
The Esri Ocean, Weather, and Climate GIS Forum brings together a growing community of weather, climate, and ocean science professionals to share advances in data collection, analysis, and our understanding of metOcean interactions. Discuss how multidimensional data and web apps can put scientific information work for a variety of organizations.

The Esri User Conference is held in San Diego annually. There is a virtual option that is free registration when you sign in using your UC San Diego ArcGIS Online account.

FOSS4G means Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial. This international annual gathering of location enthusiasts is the largest global gathering for geospatial software. This is an international conference and the location changes.

FOSS4G North America is the North America regional conference of the larger FOSS4G conference. It is the premier open geospatial technology and business conference with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for technologists, end-users, academics, and decision makers.

The conference is focused on Python and Geo, its toolkits and applications. GeoPython is a yearly conference series. Key subjects for the conference series are the combination of the Python programming language and Geo.

GEO Week is an annual conference that rotates internationally. The gathering of Ministers, as well as representatives from private sector, civil society and international organizations, represents a unique opportunity for high level networking and discussion. GEO Week and the Ministerial Summit will provide an opportunity to highlight contributions, commitments and Earth observation solutions on a global stage. In the past four years, GEO has advanced the sharing of open knowledge, enhanced coordination, and developed tools and services that respond to specific global policy challenges.

The annual NACIS conference brings together a community made up of a wide range of students and professionals that have cartographic interests. Spanning academia, private sector, and government, NACIS members have cartographic interests in North America and beyond.

The Society of Conservation GIS Annual International Conference features invited speakers, technical workshops and presentations submitted by individuals from around the globe.

The annual State of the Map US conference is the largest gathering of OpenStreetMap community members from across the country. Come meet the people who create, analyze, and use OpenStreetMap with several days of talks, workshops, and social events.

October 29 - 31, 2020 (virtual)
This free, virtual event is a celebration of our community and all things OpenStreetMap. Connect 2020 will include an informal Mappy Hour Thursday evening, a scheduled half day of talks on Friday, and a day of workshops, birds of a feather sessions and mapathons on Saturday. We hope to make this an annual gathering that enables people from across the country to learn about OpenStreetMap and network with fellow mappers through a combination of curated and community-led dialog.

This November 3-day virtual conference which celebrates the GIS work of the University of California faculty, staff, students, and alumni. This is a celebration of all things mapping and geospatial. Researchers, students, industry partners, alumni, and community mappers share their accomplishments and inspire others through their mapping.

The Western Association of Map Libraries is an independent association of map librarians and other people with an interest in maps and map librarianship.
