Finding Data & Statistics

Welcome to the UC San Diego Library's guide for data and statistics!

Data repositories and datasets linked here are our most frequently used. Subject-specific guides, many of which include sections focused on disciplinary datasets, are also available. If you need help finding particular statistics or data, please reach out to a librarian for assistance.

Accessing Electronic Resources?

You can access thousands of e-journals, e-books, databases, and more through UC San Diego Library.

For on-campus access, make sure that you are connected to the UCSD-Protected wifi.

To access library resources from off-campus:

Option 1: Connect through UC Library Search

Sign in to UC Library Search with OpenAthens for seamless access.

Option 2: Sign in at a Publisher or Resource Site

  • Look for 'Sign in Through My Institution' or 'Access via OpenAthens'.
  • Select 'University of California San Diego' and choose OpenAthens Federation if prompted.

For help with troubleshooting, visit our Connect to Library Resources page.

Important Note on Federal Government Resources

Due to ongoing volatility of federal webpages after the change in administration, links to federal resources found in the Library catalog, on our Library Guides, and elsewhere may not be working or work only sporadically.

If you find a link is not working, we suggest checking the Internet Archive to see if an archived version is available. To do so, just paste the url into the top search bar and look for blue circles on the calendar, which indicate successful captures. Hover over the blue dot and click a timestamp to go to the archived page.
